3 Days / 2 Nights

Day 1
Drive to Dundee to the Talana museum at midday for a background to your tour pertaining to the foundation of the rainbow nation that is South Africa today; before driving towards the Buffalo River, border to Zululand and your destination for the night.
Overnight in comfortable but remote accommodation near the mission church.  (Dinner included)

Day 2
Today in the company of a specialist guide, you will cover the Zulu nation and their clashes with the British. You will visit Isandlwana where 1329 well equipped British soldiers were slaughtered during a well-orchestrated Zulu attack. From there you’ll drive to Fugitives' Drift and hear about the heroic saving of the Queen’s Colour.  Later that afternoon, spend time at Rorke’s Drift where a handful of brave British soldiers defended the post against the onslaught of 4,000 attacking Zulu warriors.
Overnight as last night. (Breakfast and Dinner included)

Day 3

This morning you’ll move 20 years on to the Boer War battlefields. Visit Ladysmith the town besieged for 118 days, then drive to the summit of Spioenkop Mountain to meet your specialist Boer war guide. This blood soaked acre is the battlefield site where the British made a second attempt to break through the Boer lines to reach Ladysmith.  After a picnic lunch on the summit, depart for home. (Breakfast included)
